Exploring the Best Chrome Extension for Web Developers: Website IP

As a web developer, having the right tools at your disposal can make a significant difference in your productivity . One such tool is Website IP, a top Chrome extension that has gained considerable popularity among web developers globally. With an impressive rating of 4.06 out of 5, this utility is more than just your average browser tool.

Website IP: A Chrome Extension Making Waves

Why does the Website IP Chrome extension enjoy such a high rating? The answer lies in its simplicity, efficiency, and utility. This extension swiftly displays the IP address of the current website, placing it conveniently at the bottom right corner of your screen. No need for clicking through the extension - the IP address is always visible. It's a straightforward solution designed to streamline web development tasks.

Diving Deeper: Unpacking the Features

The Website IP tool comes with an array of features that have led to its widespread adoption amongst web developers. Notably, the extension handles all work locally, requiring no external server to return the IP. This not only boosts speed but also enhances privacy as no one else gets to see the IP. Additionally, the extension supports IPv6 and allows for local DNS and Host changes.

What Users Say

Website IP has received a ton of positive feedback from its user base. Harsh Bharucha commented, "One of the first extensions I ever installed, years ago, and has continued to work as expected." Scott Trice noted, "Every web developer needs this. I've used it for years. Simple and works."

However, like any other tool, it's not without its shortcomings. Some users have expressed a desire for a 'Copy IP to Clipboard' feature and an option to disable the extension on certain websites. The developer has already pledged to consider these features in future updates.

Why Website IP Stands Out

Website IP's high rating can be attributed to its simplicity, utility, and user-friendly nature. It's a must-have for anyone looking to develop websites more efficiently. Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting in chrome extension development, this tool can be a game-changer.

To conclude, Website IP is more than just a tool; it's a solution simplifying the daily tasks of web developers. The extension's high rating and positive user reviews are evidence of its effectiveness in the Chrome extension development sphere. If you're a web developer in search of top Chrome extensions to streamline your workflow, Website IP is an excellent place to start.

Always wanted it, but never got around looking for this. Great if you're migrating websites and modify DNS or /etc/hosts.

Sam Tolton

I like the extension and it's useful to me but it would be nice if we could turn it off for some sites. For example I don't really want to see it on YouTube as it shows when the video is full screen.

Doesn't work at all with the current version of Chrome from what I can tell.
